I am running Prepar3D as Flight Simulator and have bought the above mentioned plane. As I am creating my own MIP (over two 22" touch screens) with Air Manager (if you're curious see my site on this build (Dutch)). I wanted to use your AFSD software to checkout the variables that I use within the code for the Air Manager instruments. However on connecting I get an error about an Invalid or empty Helicopter section. In other threads I have read that you need both the aircraft.cdg as the .air file. I have enclosed both these files as a screenshot from the error window. I hope you can help me with solving this error. Greetings, Theo. Attachments:
C182.air (7.33 KB)
aircraft.cfg (30.17 KB)

Hello Theo,
I could certainly help but unfortunately I'm on vacation until July 24th with a very basic laptop and no access to my main computer system that enables me to make the necessary tests. Will answer you ASAP. I'm sorry for the inconvenience
Regards

No problem Hervé, enjoy the remainder of your vacation and I am in no hurry, lots of other things to do before the MIP will be finished.
Greetings,
Theo.

Hi Hervé,
I hope you enjoyed your vacation and that you coupd relax a little from all the flight simulator "stuff". I would like to bring this item back to your attention. At the moment I am stuck with the development op my Air Manager gauges because I really could use the features of your wonderfull program.
Greetings,
Theo.

Ok Theo. The problem was due to the fact table 430 (Delta CDo due to mach) was missing from your air file. Apparently this table is not mandatory, even when the "new" similar table 154A is not present. Good point I didn't notice (at this time it is the first aircraft I see without a 430 table). I will correct this "bug" and provide an updated version (4.40) probably tomorrow. I will also correct some very poor error messages such as the one you had (nothing to do with any Helicopter data!) Thanks for the feedback
Hervé

Here is your line in aircraft.cfg wing_pos_apex_lon=1.29 /matching model //Feet, longitudinal distance from reference point, negative going aft Please remove the /matching model or include it in the comment at the end (and only use // for comments) Generally speaking such errors are nearly always due to text formatting problems you will easily solve by looking at the error Location information..

Hervé,
that indeed did the trick. I moved the offending part to the comments and ran both Prepar3D/A2A Cessna 182 and AFSD. Everything works like a charm now. That file however was as it was installed by the A2A installer, I did not change it (beforehand).
Thanks for your support and your wonderful program(s).
Greetings,
Theo.
