I've been working on a aircraft .air/.cfg that hasn't been performing very well. Through some research there was mention of your program AFSD. I downloaded and installed the program without difficulties. When I ran the program and connected to Prepar3D it came up with a message that there was an error reading the .air file parameters.
I was hoping to retrieve some data on engine and propeller performance. The aircraft .air and .cfg files where created using the Prepar3D 2.3 SDK and are native to Prepar3D v2 and are not ported from FSX or Prepar3D v1. I do have the latest FSUIPC version installed.
Can it be confirmed that AFSD is compatible with Prepar3D v2 native .air and .cfg files? If so, what might I be doing incorrectly to cause the error? I didn't come across any manual for the utility.
Cheers

Yes latest version (4.32) is compatible with P3D v1 & v2. Aircraft.cfg and airfile structure is globally the same as in FSX. Now, I have been confronted in the past with a few "custom" files that raised errors I have corrected since then. I wouldn't be surprised I discover a few more with P3D although all default P3D v1 & v2 aircrafts do not raise any problem. Probably the best so as to solve your problem and move forwards would be you send me the aircraft.cfg and air file (I don't need anththing else) so as I can test them and provide you an answer. Please feel free to use my email for that: hsors(at)hotmail(dot)com

Hi Hervé,
I'll send you a copy of the aircraft.cfg and air file. The default P3D v2 aircraft are not native P3D v2 SDK aircraft, so it would not surprise me that they would cause no issue with your utility. All the aircraft came with Prepar3D v1.4 if I'm not mistaken.
Cheers

So the answer (for our other readers) is that AFSD doesn't manage well models without a Basic Aerodynamics record (aka as 1101 record) as it should be in the newest FSX/P3D models with only 15xx records. Version 4.33 will correct that as soon as it is fully tested (see your mails).

Hello Hervé, I'm running in a similar problem of error: The error message is: [Error cause: Flaps seöection/air file data error] [Location: Invalid or missing flaps position.1 data values]
This is the flaps section [flaps.1] //system type = 1 span-outboard = 0.65 extending-time = 15 system_type = 1 //damaging-speed = 220 // 170 x1.3 //blowout-speed = 250 flaps-position.0 = 0 flaps-position.1 = 0 flaps-position.2 = 10 flaps-position.3 = 20 flaps-position.4 = 30 flaps-position.5 = 45
I have a 0 in flaps-position.1 as the aircraft deploys slats only in step one and then in step 2 the trailing flaps start to move.
Best regards Alexander

That's a completely different problem. Of course, 0 values (no effect on drag and lift) are accepted so the error is elswhere. I would like to examine your aircraft.cfg file that raises this error. If it is a default unmodified P3D aircraft, let me know which one it is, otherwise could you please send me the file by private email. Thanks
Regards

Sorry not able to answer precisely you before 2 weeks..see here aerosors.freeforums.net/thread/71/summer-holidays-starting-july-weeks>>The AFSd gets connected but it says aircraft file is not correct. << Doesn't mean anything..Clicking on error message should indicate aircraft.cfg section/subsection that are responsible for the error (probably a syntax error in your file). Will be needed to solve it
