Installing/uninstalling America (North) with FSXP3D Navaid Installer makes the Galena Vortac GAL 114.80 signal disappear (and reappear after uninstall). So for some reason, the package decommisions this VORTAC? Is this correct in RW?
I use FSX Accel Boxed btw

Hi Hervé,
Most of the times, I'm using FlightSim Commander and Little Navmap for my flight planning. Both programs use Navigraph data, not the actual simulator data, so I was unable to see your "Shutdown" message.
But when hovering the mouse over the flightplan in FSX -which I NEVER did in the past- I can clearly see "Galena (Shutdown)" as name of the VORTAC. I've also figured out that Little Navmap can show the simulator data in stead of Navigraph data. So I know now what to look for in the future.
Thanks for your very complete explanation, Wim
P.S. In my same flight plan, I found a VOR named "Moses Point (ELIM) (MOS)". I suspect the ELIM addition also has a meaning?

>>P.S. In my same flight plan, I found a VOR named "Moses Point (ELIM) (MOS)". I suspect the ELIM addition also has a meaning?<< No. It is the reported name of this VORDME. ELIM is the city. Many terminal NDBs include this information but only a very few VORs. Don't know why. Anyway it is the "official name" of this navaid enasr.faa.gov/eNASR/nasr/Current/NavAid/1257
