Hi Herve,
I am very new to this so I have a few questions left after reading all documentation and faq. For your info I use P3Dv4.2.
1. When I install "World Navaids package", "ILS/Rwy regional updates World (except Europe)" and "Fixes (intersections) update Worldwide (except Europe)" can I assume that all (relevant) files in the sim (in my case P3Dv4.2) are up to date? 2. I read in the documentation that before the installation of a package a backup will be made of the original files. What happens when I install a new update (read a new AIRAC cycle becomes available) package? Will the saved original files be untouched so they are still available in case an uninstall is necessary or will the saved original files be overwritten by the new package? 3. When I want to perform an upgrade to P3Dv4.3 should it be recommended to perform an uninstall of your package first so the sim is in his original state again? After the upgrade to P3Dv4.3 I assume I can perform the installation of your package again? 4. The difference between EuropeFiles and EuropeAltFiles in the "World Navaids package" is not completely clear to me. What do you suggest? 5. I read that all files in "Fixes (intersections) update Worldwide (except Europe)" should be placed in a specific (separate) directory. Hereafter it is necessary to declare this directory manually in the sim. Do you have a suggestion about the priority settings (read layer) of this directory?
I hope you are able to answer all my questions. Many thanks in advance and kind regards,
Alje Bakker

1. Probably more than 99%. As indicated in the documentation a few terminal NDBs may be missing 2. Original files are only backuped once and will stay untouched thereafter 3. Yes. Probably better since I didn't (and couldn't) test it 4. Explained in the documentation. For those not using any integrated approaches I'll suggest using EuropeAltFiles (cleaner). However, you can change that at any time by reinstalling with the appropriate option 5. On P3Dv4, you'll have to declare it manually and with a priority above default scenery folders.
Regards
Hervé

Hi Herve,
Many thanks for your reply and answers. It is (almost) completely clear to me so I will start using your packages. However there is one question left. What do you exactly mean with "integrated approaches"? In the sim I use SIDS and STARS as much as possible which are generated by a flight planning tool (in my case PFPX). The SIDS and STARS are then manually entered in the FMC of my aircraft. Many thanks again and kind regards,

Then you will not have any problem. By integrated approaches, I mean those provided by the default sim GPS
