I have lost count of how many airports I've flown an ILS into where the ILS was active, however there was never a DME. I know this is not the fault of your updates, but could your updates possibly include DME for the ILS facilities? Thank you in advance.

Hi Nick
Those ILSs that have a DME are normally correctly set in my updates. In case you notice a DME is missing, please let me know precisely which one so as I can check. You say that "this is not the fault of my updates", so I must say I do not fully understand your request here. Could you please clarify? I'll be glad to help

Thank you for the reply. I guess my post came across assuming rather than asking. I assumed:
1.) I know you updat ILS identifiers and frequencies with each update. I wasn't aware that you updated DME information.
2.) I assumed all ILS facilities also provide DME. I am a VFR pilot by nature, so IFR is a learning process.
An example today was the ILS rwy 6 into KBHM. The ILS functions fine, just no DME. This had been the case at quite a few other fields, but then again maybe they don't offer it. Again, I just figured all ILS's offered DME. I do get DME on some, but not on others. If your product updates current DME, then thank you and there is no issue other than my own learning :-)

Hi Nick DME (if present) is nearly always associated to ILS main components on the same frequency. However its position may vary (often collocated with LOC antenna in the US). Not all facilities have a DME. I'd say about 80% in the US KBHM ILS on runway 06 (IBHM, 110.30) doesn't have an associated DME (ILS CAT II, no DME) Probably the easiest way to know for a given ILS, is to look at the charts www.faa.gov/air_traffic/flight_info/aeronav/digital_products/dtpp/search/or FAA detailed information for all current facilities enasr.faa.gov/eNASR/nasr/CurrentRegards Hervé

Okay. I am seeing it now. Thank you Herve. I appreciate you taking the time to explain.
