Probably a corrupted registry inscription of FSX Steam. Check the documentation for some links so as to repair registry data. Otherwise install program has the ability to set installation folder if not detected. Let me know

I have completely removed Steam twice and re-installed with no luck. When I start the Navaid installer, a box comes up showing the choices of which FXS to install it to, but all the choices are greyed-out.

Herve; I just did the registry fix and the installers work perfectly now. Thanks for the guidance.

Happy it worked. Normally (without any registry fix) you also had the possibility to manually select the install folder (even if all choices were grayed out). Now, to be sure check that the replacement files were properly located (you will see the backup files with a .raxini extension in the same folders)
