When I try to update AIRAC 2008 in FSX Steam installed in an external SSD the system prompts the message below. "FLIGHT SIMULATOR IS INSTALLED IN A PROTECTED SYSTEM DIRECTORY, NOT ENABLING UPDATE AND UNINSTALL PROCESSES. ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNTS WITH UAC FULLY DISABLED MAY STILL USE THE PROGRAM TO UPDATE. YOU MAY ALSO CHANGE PERMISSION RIGHTS ON YOUR SIM FOLDER SO AS TO BE ABLE TO UPDATE" I tried to disable UAC but didn't work. Before, When FSX was installed in the Hard Disk the update worked fine. Could you help me? Thanks Attachments:Documento 2.docx (60.92 KB)

Did you try to launch the installer with admin rights (Run as admin)..do that first even if you have an administrator account

Ok..It could be there's some missing permissions for replacing files on your SSD or they are not correctly analyzed by the installer
Please try the following 1) Open a cmd window with admin rights in the folder where the installer is 2) Then type: FSXP3DNavaids_Installer.exe /forcepermissions It should now remove the permission check 3) Before updating, check "Log Install replacements" Then install as usual. In case, some errors are reported, close the program and send me the "Installer_actions.log" file that has been created in the application directory

Yes. There is something wrong . In the same SSD, XPLANE11 (STEAM too ) is installed and AIRAC update with FMS Data manager ( Navigraph) worked fine. I can copy files to FSX folders but the NAVAIDs installer doesn't work. Sorry, I am not an expert in computers so I didnt understand yours recomendations.
