Herve
Doing some updates of the above (mostly renamed taxiway designators using ADE) but noticed that the many years ago introduction of displaced thresholds to both R16L&R has not been modelled in either AIAE or Worlds Package 2309.
LOC is almost correct but not the GS & DME.
Curiously as well as being seen on current charts, the displaced thresholds are seen in any aircraft airac.
Cheers John

Hi John,
As indicated in the documentation, my P3Dv4-v5 updates do not change airport layout except in a few cases (mainly decommissioned or closed runways). As so, displaced thresholds are usually untouched. ILS elements are recalculated from real data by reference to simulator threshold positions I checked the positions of GS and DME antennas for RJTT ILSs 16L (IOC) and 16R (ITA) that are correct according to latest Japanese AIRAC data. IOC GS is located 1023 ft ahead of simulator runway 16L threshold (and 392 ft from center line on the right). DME is located at 1073/406 ft respectively. Corresponding values for ITA ILS are 1087/-395 ft for glide slope antenna and 1026/-458 ft for associated DME These offsets were applied to position ILS data from simulator 16R/16L threshold coordinates Let me know if your observations are for the P3Dv4 or P3Dv5 update I provide. Some screenshots could also help so as I can compare them to my own pictures. I do not observe any significant discrepancy on my system (both for P3Dv1-4/FSX and P3Dv5) I presume you do not have any 3rd party scenery for RJTT that could supersede the current updated data Feel free to contact me by email [aero(at)sors(dot)fr] if it is easier for comparing pictures and solving the problem
Regards
Hervé

I presume you do not have any 3rd party scenery for RJTT that could supersede the current updated data Hervé Many thanks for your notes, particularily how the airac is adjusted to the sim's threshold. Interestingly, I noticed (on GE) that the displaced thresholds were introduced the same month (4/2020) that P3D5.0 was released ?? What was confusing me was why the ils airac data had the correct data but was not appearing that way in the sim. Seems all I need to do is edit the sim data to match the airac. & apologies for not mentioning the afcad in question I am updating is TechnoBrain's P3D5 which is as old as 2014. Cheers John PS will send an email to ask for the WorldPackageP3D5 update.

Understand Note that for correct approach distances and references, it is important to locate ILS antennas at the same distances from simulator runway thresholds as they are in real life from real runway thresholds. The only deviation I sometimes apply are accurate localizer alignment on runway axe and DME reading 0 at threshold (when documented) Of course, coordinates will not always match the real ones but it is the best fit IMO. Recalculations I applied in my updates is a bit of math but not so difficult since I have all the necessary data from AIP and sim data
Cheers
